a great day off

it was a beautiful day! matt took friday off of work, so we went to the park for a picnic and then to the arboretum. for as long as both of us have lived here, neither of us had been to this place. it's pretty neat, despite the enormous mosquitoes. and, even though you can still hear the hum of the freeway and see the power lines in the background above the trees, we sort of forgot we were in the middle of the city. we hope to go back and walk the many other trails they have.
