day 3

we are at the end of our 3rd full day in budapest. of course we are still adjusting to the time, especially reese, so we sleep in the morning, eat breakfast and let reese take another nap until we are ready to go out. we've checked out a bunch of apartments and are weighing the pros and cons of each. almost all the places we have seen have been on either the top or second to the top floor because they are the largest. it's hard to pick an area of town to live in when we do not know the city very well. we've narrowed it down to a few locations, but just need the right place to come along for the right price. it's been great riding around the city in a car because we have been able to get a better feel for the city and also see a lot more of it!

after nap time we took a walk down to szent istvan korut (the last word is spelled wrong b/c i don't have the right keys. there are supposed to be dots and stuff above the vowels. anyway, it means st. stephens boulevard.). it's a busy street with the tram, buses, cars and lots of people. we found a little italian place to eat. of course we had to sit in the smoking section, but it wasn't bad at all.
(no fancy background, but you can see a little architecture.)

i slipped the small old camera in the bag in case there was a kodak moment and of course we made one! :) here we are just at a fountain at the end of the street next to the margit hid (margaret bridge) crossing the duna river. (we know the river as the danube, but it's the duna in hungarian).
poor reese has a cold, so the runny nose is flowin'!
