lots of shoes at the front door. it's a new custom for us to take our shoes off at the front door and i think i really like it. it makes me feel like i have a cleaner home. i used to not take my shoes off before entering my home just because of the hassle, but when i see dogs and humans peeing on the city sidewalks where i walk, i have no problem taking the extra time to keep that filth off of my floors! and, yes, you read correctly - humans pee on the sidewalks! ick!
okay, that wasn't such a pleasant paragraph. sorry. on to something more exciting...
matt's brother + wife, miles + katie, are here visiting us. we are having a great time and i think they are enjoying exploring budapest. matt loves having his bro here! m+k actually left for vienna today for a few days, but will be back for a couple more days before they head back to the states.
here we are having lunch at the centrál kávéház (central coffeehouse). this place was reopened in 2000 after a renovation back to it's early 1900's feel, complete with a piano player on sundays and all. it's a little pricey, but neat.

peeing on sidewalks? I suppose this is an exception to immersing yourselves in the culture. yick!
We take our shoes off at the door too. I tell Lilly to leave the desert at the door please. (she always manages to get sand in her shoes & I can't stand it!) Have fun this week!
Have you invested in any slippers yet? I still have a pair that are SO ugly but I can't seem to give them up. Jodey has hidden them from me a couple of times but I always find them. We take our shoes off at the door too--it especially seems to make sense when you have babies crawling around.
