girl time

cheers to a beautiful sunday lunch along the danube river!



two of my dearest friends, jen + jennifer, came to visit recently. we had a wonderful time together and i think they really liked budapest. i especially enjoyed the girl time. it was so fun to catch up on their lives and show them mine. they were surprised at how big reese is and were impressed at how well she communicates. i got a babysitter for reese part of the day on monday and tuesday, so i could go sight seeing with them. one of the highlights was going to the széchenyi bath. it was an interesting experience, but i definitely want to go back. being the water girl that i am, i LOVED being outside in the warm water! i tried going out with them on tuesday, but ended up getting sick and having to cut it short. they enjoyed the next couple of days exploring budapest without me. on thursday they went on to vienna for a few days, again, without me. :( i so wished i could go with them, but i didn't have enough energy to go sightseeing around the city. overall i have to agree with j+j that my favorite times with them in budapest were staying up late one night girl chatting in their room and lunch on the danube after church on sunday, although the bath is a super close third.
