last month we took our last european vacation, or should i say european adventure?! it was definitely an adventure. this time we rented a car and hit the road for a week long trip to three different places in three different countries. overall we really enjoyed the trip, but i'd be lying if i didn't say it was stressful and hard at the same time. we may make traveling with two small children in foreign countries look easy, but i assure you it's not! this trip made me appreciate matt's brothers even more on our trip to berlin. having those extra hands really does help! i was a little worried about the car rides because our children are not used to being strapped in carseats for long periods of time, but that was probably the most non-stressful part of the trip! except when we missed our exit a couple of times just outside vienna and added 20 minutes or so onto our drive. rrrrr. we are a little rusty on our driving skills (i still haven't driven a car in over 14 months!), not to mention driving in foreign countries with different signs that we are not used to. anyway, we loved driving the roads through hungary, austria, slovenia and a tiny bit of croatia on the way home. the country side is so beautiful! austria was my favorite. reese loved the many tunnels between salzburg and bled. matson slept most of the time in the car and reese watched little einsteins and dora the explorer many times.
i'm not super happy with my pictures from this trip, which has contributed to my procrastination in posting about it, but i've managed to pick a few that are worth sharing, i guess. read the following posts about each place we visited...
