matson buuuuddy

matson buuuddy continues to be matson's nickname (just like pauly shore in encino man) and i continue to soak up all his sweet cuddles. while we were on vacation i started this habit (not sure if it's good or bad) of bringing matson in bed with me in the mornings. he would start to stir around 6:30, so to avoid waking up you know who and to not start feeding him that early, i would hold him for a couple of minutes. he'd fall back asleep and i'd curl up right next to him and go to sleep too. ahhhh...sweet, sweet times with my little boy.

he is already four months old and laughing. it totally melts my heart! he likes it when i hold him in the air above my head and look up at him. that can get the giggles going. i just have to watch out for the drool that is nonstop these days. my shirts and his are always soaked. he's grabbing onto everything his little hands touch even reese's hair. it was too funny the other day when matt said, "matson, stop pulling your sister's hair." i'm sure that will be said many more times.

his four month check up at the doctor went well. he weighed in at 7.1 kilos. that's 15 lbs 10 oz. i looked back to see what reese weighed at four months and i was shocked at how much hair she had! i mean, i remember her having a lot of uncontrolable hair, but oh my gosh, it's so funny to look back. she looks like she had a toupee! i guess she had to start off with a lot of hair to have the long beautiful hair she has now. back to matson... poor little guy has a flat left side of his head. he tends to sleep with his head looking up and to the left. it doesn't look all that comfortable to me, but he seems fine. the doctor said the top of his head looks nice and round, but to just try to get him to look the other direction. so, i came home and switched this mirror thing around in his bed and have started putting his head at the other end of his bed. he still looks left. oh well, he'll be rolling around soon enough. he'll be fine. after his appointment we came home, had dinner and i put him to bed. i tested him to see if he could go 12 hours at night. low and behold he did! woohoo! i love having good sleeping children! what a blessing!

funny how the two kids have such different hair (or lack of). guess it's better that the boy had less. such a good boy--12 hours.
