a perfect weekend

if ever there could be a perfect weekend, this was it. first, matson didn't get up until 7:45 on saturday morning. it's amazing what an extra 45 minutes can do for a person. second, the weather was perfect. lows in the 50s, highs in the 70s! it has FINALLY cooled down enough to open the windows and bring the outside in. reese had a ball at a classmate's birthday party that morning. there was a moonwalk and everything. i forgot my camera for that. :( she liked seeing her school friends outside of school and i enjoyed meeting some neighborhood moms. while we were there matt took matson to the park and then i took them a second time to the park after nap time. outdoor time was mandatory this weekend. i managed to remember my camera that time.

i got many more pictures of matson b/c i spend a lot more time with him at the park. all i do is follow him around and help him up or down or in or out and then the main thing - keep him from getting hurt.

she loves being the big sister.
we also got our yard looking good which always makes me feel happy and accomplished. i trimmed a bunch of overgrown bushes while matt mowed and edged. we also bought another bush and some flowers to plant.



the bonus: matt and i got to go out to an oktoberfest party saturday night. we enjoyed some good time with friends and yummy beers.



i almost forgot. for matt his weekend was perfect because texas pulled it out to beat the sooners! ...for which i was thankful! hook 'em!
