gymnastics

the exciting new thing in reese's life is her gymnastics class. she loves it. it's challenging and strengthening her little body. she also likes being the oldest girl in the class. she also likes to come home and challenges us with what she learned. yikes! it's been too many years since we've tried "the bridge". have you tried that lately? lay down on the floor and push that buttocks and head up off the floor. it's not easy, but matt and i can both confidently say we've still got it! ...not to brag or anything!

she is also learning cart wheels, forward rolls, wall-handstands and different walks (ie: crab walk and puppy dog run) for body strength. coach glass is so nice and is great with the kids. they all obey his loud deep voice. he's been coaching/teaching gymnastics for 30+ years.

i especially like this wall-handstand. they have to sing their abc's before they can get down. i haven't tried this one yet. my head hurts just thinking about it. ...ah, to be a kid again.

You'll have to show me your wall-handstand! :) Isa does that on her bed frequently. You and Reese should have a backbend competition. Ha!

Ok, how impressed am I that you can still do a bridge? Seriously? If I just think trying it, it hurts! Thankfully, Lilly surpassed my own gymnastic skill awhile back, so I don't have to try anymore. And it's a good thing, because if I tried to do a cartwheel, it would not be pretty, and would not end happily for anyone. But you go girl!
