an ice skating date

the saturday before christmas matt and i got to go out on a date while our kids were well taken care of by the wonderful dorothy! we went to niko nikos, a favorite with lots of memories from our dating life, and then we went downtown to discovery green to go ice skating! it was a lot of fun and the cold weather made it perfect. believe it or not, but we didn't even fall. there were some close calls, but we stayed vertical the whole time. we took pictures of each other.

and then asked a stranger to take one of us. despite the blurriness and graininess, doesn't this look magical?! it was.

matt surprised me with his ice skating skillz - i learn something new about him all the time! he took a few laps on his own when i ran out of steam.
