summer roller skating

this was our first time out on roller skates. it was toddler skate at the skating rink so we met a bunch of friends from church and went for it. it was nice b/c the kids could bring ride-on toys and scooters and stuff and have a free-for-all, but could also try roller skates if they wanted. reese and matson did a little of both.

as for the roller skates, they tried hard, fell a fair amount, didn't cry and had a ball! well, matson cried a little but only because he wanted the "rolling walker". it's pretty much the only way he could stay upright. reese started figuring it out towards the end of our time and really liked it. i think we'll be going back for more practice.
