the christmas spirit is here

we officially have our christmas spirit this year! we joined my parents, my brother and his family, my aunt marsha and cousin nichole for the lighting of the square in georgetown on friday night. i guess you could say the kids started it off with ringing bells as they got to ring the bell at a tiny, cute, old church.

next they got to climb in the newest georgetown fire truck that has only been in service for two weeks. 

with a chill in the air (sorta) the kids enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies on the curb.

and what christmas event would be complete without some caroling?!

all the children were invited to join the carolers on the steps. reese wanted to go up so bad, but she wanted a partner and matson wasn't willing until big boy cousin brody said he'd go. so all four of the kids got up there. the best pic i got was of matson yelling, "daddy! daddy!" 

and then the christmas lights were lit! this is the georgetown court house.
