she is three weeks and three days old.
she eats about every three hours and has gone a little longer during the night a couple of times. during her second week of life she was getting up only once a night to eat (i wasn't complaing about that!) but now she's eating twice a night - still not bad. i've switched to laying down feeding her at night, so i still feel somewhat rested. after she eats she goes right back to sleep. (love it!) matt takes over if she needs anything after the 6:00 hour. he mainly keeps her quiet while he gets ready for work so i can sleep until 6:45 when it's time to get reese up and ready for school.
she loves to be held so we are enjoying our little bundle in our arms.
she had a two week check up where she got a little blood drawn. not fun. she was back up to birth weight and checked out great.
we can't live without the vibrating bouncy seat. it keeps her asleep.
we introduced the pacifier to her when she was about two weeks old and she'll take it sometimes.
she is just about out of her newborn clothes!
her umbilical cord fell off at two weeks old, so she gets a bath in the kitchen sink now. she likes it until we have to make the cold transition to the towel. then she's snuggly and warm.
she spits up. neither reese nor matson were the big of spitter-uppers, but miss layla is.
miss layla is a grunter. we think it's funny to have a sweet little girl who produces these manly grunts. they remind us of reese as she did this as a baby too.
she has the cutest feet ever!
