sponge bath

layla didn't particularly like her first sponge bath, but she smelled so sweet afterwards!

i love seeing her precious tiny body and feeling all of her skin. baby skin is so soft and sweet.

ah, this is better - much more peaceful all wrapped up and clean...

her little umbilical cord came off when she turned two weeks old. matson was very intrigued from the first time he saw it and he wanted it off of her. could that be his first way of protecting his baby sister - wanting the icky umbilical cord off of his pretty little sister? :)  needless to say he was glad when it finally did come off. i was glad too. now i can rub her little belly without having to be so careful.
