I can't believe it's that time again! Where did the time go? Oh wait, Layla arrived halfway during the school year. That's where it went.
I love taking these first and last days of school pictures. Their sweet faces show much they have grown.
First up, Reesey on her first day of kindergarten.
And, here she is on her last - looking a bit older.
She had a fantastic year at school and always came home happy - tired, but happy. Some days were harder to get out of bed than others. (I think we can all relate to that!) She plowed through the little bit of homework she had each week, sometimes quicker than others. She learned SO much this year and I think she loves all her new knowledge. She adored her teacher and loved her new school. She says her favorite things at school were writing and recess and her favorite activities at recess were playing tag with friends, the monkey bars and jump rope. She stayed on green all year long except for one time when she colored with crayons on the sidewalk outside. It was neat to see her muster the courage to tell me about it when she got home. Overall Reese's kindergarten experience was a good one. She grew by leaps and bounds.
Next up, Matson buddy on his first day of preschool...
About mid-year this boy's "boy-ness" came gushing out. He's full on boy loving all things fast, big and loud - sports, cars and big animals. The innocent face faded this year and his little legs got longer. His beautiful blue eyes stayed the same though! Matson loved his first year of preschool. He had a great class of nine kids with the boys giving the teacher a run for her money. But being a mother of three girls she adored the boys. He got to go on several field trips throughout the year and ride on the big yellow school bus - which he LOVED. Overall Matson had a great three year old preschool experience.
I think these two missed each other this year so they are looking forward to summer play time. I know I'm looking foward to having Reesey home more. ****
Summer is here and we are loving it! I hope to post more soon...
