6 months

One week before Layla turned 6 months old I found two little teeth in her mouth! I really had no idea they were coming. She had been drooling a little, but not more than normal. I knew to feel for them every once in a while b/c Matson got his around 6 months old. (Reese's didn't come in until she was 9 months.) It was so exciting though.  Reese and Matson and I were so surprised and excited that we all stuck our fingers in her mouth to feel those teeth. It was such special moment. Matt was out that night, so I shared the big news with him when he got home. 

She weighs 17 lbs 12 oz (82%) and is 26 3/4" long (83%). It's been so interesting to look back at what Reese and Matson weighed at 6 months. Reese was 14 lbs 2 oz and Matson was 16 lbs 1 oz. Layla takes the cake for sure!

Layla babbles and talks a lot. It sounds like she says hi and dada.

She's a bubble blowing machine.

She takes 45 minute naps. This is very different from Reese & Matson. They took long naps, but since Layla is on the go so much, I can't really expect her to take a long nap. She is mostly happy when she's awake, so I'm okay with it.

She's eating solid foods now! We've been through squash, carrots, apples and bananas. It didn't take this girl long to catch on. I say bite and she opens up! We love having her up at the table with us for dinner. She sits in the booster seat.

She rolls over to her tummy, but isn't a huge fan of it.

She LOVES the doorway jumpy seat. She can jump around in there for an hour!

We tried putting her underwater at the pool the other day and she didn't like it so much. She cried. :(

She laughs when we show her stuffed animals.

She's working on sitting up and strengthening her core. We have her on daily exercises. Just kidding. She works at it when she's in the bouncy seat.

We love her and can't believe she's half a year old already!
