our family vacation

this is the whole dowiak family...all 10 of us...the girls are catching up with the guys! 5 guys and now 5 girls!










reese got her first wings when she took her first plane ride last week! she did great! it was hard not having her normal long naps, but it was a short enough flight that she took a couple of naps and just watched the people around us. the funniest thing happened on the way home when she pooped on dad's crotch! ha! he was quite the trooper. he decided "i'm a dad. that's what dads do...they have poop stains on their crotch." and he strolled through the airport just like that! haha!

we had a great time in pittsburgh staying with matt's brother and family. they have a neat house, built in the 1920's, on a brick street. see...
it was a little tricky sneaking around the house b/c it has some great sqeaky hardwood floors, but that didn't keep us quiet! reese & autumn did great even though we toted them around everywhere. it was fun having the cousins together...

we had a great time visiting uncle joe & aunt patty's place outside of the city. they let us play with all their toys, including dirt bikes & ping-pong.

reese enjoyed time with her grandma & grandad, both proudly sporting texas shirts! :)

























reese hit a milestone! she has started belly laughing and it is the cutest thing ever!!! thanksgiving day she woke up from a nap to her grandad making bubble/fish type noises and she laughed for about 5 minutes! everyone got to see it! i had tears in my eyes, it was so cute!









we definitely enjoyed the cold weather. as much as i didn't like having to bundle reese up in all the coats, hats, mittens, blankets, etc. everytime we went outside, i loved seeing her all snuggly! this is one of my favorite pics...
overall we had a good trip! we'll leave you with a fun picture of reese's first time on a swing. i think she liked it. she didn't cry.

now, back to our home routine...
