monday: chicken & turkey sausage skillet gumbo. YUM! thank you, teri, for the recipe!! we love us some cajun cooking! :)
tuesday: left overs! i'm going to the local farmers market this tuesday, so we'll see if i get anything. maybe i can make it a weekly routine to pick up some fresh veggies/fruits from the local farmers. since this is my first time i probably won't get much. this can be my scoping visit.
wednesday: the old stand by...pork loin, green beans maybe sauteed in a little garlic and olive oil, and roasted potatoes with a little tyme.
thursday: matt's birthday!! i can't tell my plans b/c he reads this. :) maybe i'll post again to let you know what i did.
friday: not sure yet. last week matt did take me out. we went to lil' pappasitos for a margarita at happy hour price and split chicken & beef fajitas. yum! the frustrating part: we had a $10 coupon, but realized at the resturant that we were at the wrong location to redeem it. bummer. oh well, i guess we'll get to eat at pappasitos again!
saturday: cinco de mayo party at our friend's house! super fun!!
sunday: we've turned sunday into a resting day, as it should be. we've started doing frozen pizza for dinner. we like deGiorno's the best! this is almost as easy as the sunday evening meal i had growing up...popcorn and ice cream. i believe my parents still do that, but maybe not the ice cream. dad, do you still eat ice cream on sundays???

On Tuesday, I'll be at the farmer's market, too, on my way home from hearing the Dalai Lama speak at Rice University. One of the booths has amazingly good oatmeal date cookies--2 dozen or so for either $3 or $6. Whatever it was, it was a good deal for the farmer's market.
We like Target Archer Farms pizza. Again, it's tasty and inexpensive.
We have popcorn (for supper)almost religiously on Sunday nights. I'm sure everyone would be delighted to add ice cream to the menu.
the dalai lama?! didn't know he was in town. cool.
sol says you can get the best gelato in town at the farmers market. it's at marcello's. definitely worth picking up right before you leave! i'm going to! i'll look for the oatmeal date cookies too. hopefully the rain will hold off so we actually get to go to the fm.
Anna Hazel said that she saw you not too long after I had left.
yes, we saw anna there and we saw you too. you talking to sol when we drove up, but by the time we got over to sol you had left. we bought some yummy tomatoes and strawberries!
