he went to the doctor last wednesday for his two month check up. at 9 1/2 weeks he weighed in at 6 kilos (13 lbs. 3 oz.). poor little guy, his shots were a bit traumatic. i was holding his legs, but not his knees and he flinched when they stuck him, so both the nurse and the doctor pulled the needles out. he cried and we had to start over. :( the second time the nurse told me to hold his knees (thanks for telling me the second time!) and it was successful. i fed him right afterward so he didn't cry long. reese was a bit concerned. i warned her that he was going to cry, but that he would be fine. she seemed okay with that, but still had a worried look on her face. so sweet she's concerned for her brother - already looking after him.
go matson! he slept from 10:30-6:37 last night without crying! the best part is that i slept great too! it was probably the best night of sleep i've had since the little guy was born. it was awesome!!

poor little guy :( but wtg on the sleeping Matson--& mama....b/c it;s hard for mama to sleep throught the night too after your brain is programed to wake up!
Hope he is doing better today. I cannot wait to meet this little guy.
Just so you know, I have a couple coworkers who talk about having babies in teh near future frequently, and mostly seem concerned about how in the heck people juggle everything in life PLUS another fulltime job of having a baby. Whenever I tell them tidbits about your experience - they are always encouraged. You are my example of success! Remember that when the legs squiggle and there's lots of crying. You are a great mom!
