we went to my parent's home for the weekend. we decided to try driving after matson ate his last meal of the day so he could sleep in the car and we wouldn't have to worry about stopping. it worked well for him, but poor reesey got an upset stomach and threw up all over the place. ick! that was our fist experience with throw up in the car. i have to say we fared pretty well though. she didn't cry. she didn't say she felt bad. just all of a sudden everything was coming out of her mouth! afterward she was fine. it was just that once - thankfully!







the main reason for going up that direction was to meet my brother's newest baby, emersyn quinn, and also to celebrate my nephew, brody's, 2nd birthday. lots of action in the holmlund household these days! a few pics from the b-day party...

reese sort of dominated the present opening time by opening brody's presents for him! thanks brody for being laid back and not getting upset at reese's "help".


she also took it upon herself to help him eat his cupcake by hand feeding him! ha! he really did get the royal birthday treatment! :)


we also had a great time playing outside on my parent's driveway...i just can't help but pretend i'm in the 6th grade again when i get that sidewalk chalk in my hands!
