i am a fan of the children's museum, but not the hefty $8 per person price tag for the amount of time we can last there - usually 3 hours max. so when my friend, liz, invited us and offered to use a free pass for all of us to get in, i was all over it! i was a little nervous about taking both kids by myself, but it worked out pretty well. matson flat out doesn't obey so he was my challenge. reese did great and i want to take her back. matson, not so much. :) the kids liked the art center.
i had mixed feelings about there not being any paint, but am sorta glad i didn't have to keep matson's hand out of it. this is liz helping her son, robert. he's matson's little buddy. you can barely see baby kate peeking around the easel. how nice to still have a contained child! :)
we ventured outside to the nature center and got to witness the hatching of this little chick. so cool!!i love all those phones on the wall up there and that the kids can push as many buttons as they want!
after chasing matson around for a while we decided some containment was in order. next up: the tot spot.the kids had a ball there too. reese is a little old for it, but she still loved doing whatever she wanted, especially climbing on anything and everything. matson particularly enjoyed this little car ramp.
hopefully we'll score some more free passes to go again this summer. i want to do the outdoor water play area.
