lima beans + more

i can't believe i'm feeding my child lima beans! i've never liked them and neither does my dad. when i was younger i remember my mom making my dad and me sit at the table until we finished our lima beans and my sneaky dad taught me to put them in my napkin! mom, did you know that??? sorry for ratting you out dad, but it's about time. :) anyway, reese LOVES them! she picked them out of a veggie mixture i gave to her, so i bought just straight lima beans this time. she ate them great, but then we made the mistake of showing her the goldfish and let her have a few and then that's all she wanted.

reese received a nice compliment the other day, well at least i think it was a compliment. i picked her up from the nursery at church and one of the caregivers said she was the best cheerio eater. she gets a handful out of the snack trap and gets all the cheerios in her mouth without dropping any. he should be with us at the store when i give her the snack trap. cheerios go everywhere and i just sweep them right under the shelves. i bet nobody knows. :)

watchout! the next time you see reese, she might lift up your shirt to find your belly button! it's too cute! i've heard it's not so cute when your child tries to get you to lift up your shirt at the grocery store though! ;)

reese is daddy's little helper. he picks her up and the lowers her down to pick up the diaper that is headed to the trash (not the poopie ones though) and she holds it until he tells her to drop it in the trash. she gets the cutest proud look on her face!

reese is full on crawling now! she's all over the place! she's found the magnets on the fridge, the only door stopper i left on, the magazines, and anything on the second shelf! she was collecting leaves at the park yesterday. that was cute. she wouldn't put them down even when we put her in the swing. and, surprisingly enough she only tried to eat them a couple of times.

good for you, reese, eating your lima beans. i beg to differ with your mom about making her and her dad stay at the table until they ate all their lima beans (well, i might have made your mom do it). i don't even remember serving them except once or twice; the complaining was too much to bear. and, yes, i believe papa would teach your mom to hide them in her napkin!

yuck! lima beans - not a big fan of them by themselves - and neither is isa. but, while reese is not being picky on veggies, you should try all those weird ones ppl typically hate - brussel sprouts, peas, etc. isabella ate brussel sprouts galore - that's about how i taught her how to walk by dangling them in front of her and her walking toward them! weird, huh?

. . .just poking my two sense in (i'm hilary's sister in law). . .that's the funniest, most unique thing i've ever heard. your child loves brussel sprouts enough that they enticed her to learn to walk! that's one for the scrapbook!
