a little booboo

we had our first injury involving blood today. reese was sitting on the floor (i was right beside her) in her room doing the same thing she does all the time, grabbing for the basket full of toys on the bottom shelf, but this time she was a little too far away, and wham! knocked herself on the shelf. i thought she just bumped her head, so i picked her up and put her on my shoulder, only to lean her back and see blood on my shoulder and then coming from her mouth running down her chin! i didn't panic, i just picked her up and took her to the bathroom to get all cleaned up. it took me a while to figure out where the blood was coming from. upper lip? bottom lip? nope, she knocked her gums between her top 2 middle teeth. she bounced back like a champ and was very soon after (like a minute) back to herself grabbing and pointing at everything. no pics of the blood bath. it's probably healed by now; their little skin heals so fast!
