living in a foreign country

it wouldn't be right if i told you our weekend was just dandy. our time at margitsziget on saturday was nice, but had it's frustrations, just like anything else we do right now. all the frustrations of living in a foreign country came together this weekend. ...just about the time my mom said it would...3 weeks after arrival. saturday and sunday were pretty tough days for us, me especially. nothing we do is easy. everything takes an extra step or extra effort that we are tired of putting forth. if you've ever lived in a foreign country, you know the feeling. don't get me wrong, we are enjoying the exploring and all, but we are learning to be flexible and allow like three times as long to do anything. soon i will be able to accept the things i like and dislike about hungary and that's just the way it will be. i am not comparing hungary to the states, but taking hungary for what it is. i know this is helping me already.

okay, that's all the complaining i will do. just be assured that we are learning and growing. any encouraging emails are welcome! and phone calls!

I wish I had some fabulous advice about living in a foreign country, but I don't. Just wanted you to know you guys are missed! This time thing really throws me for a loop...I want to try soon though (when it's not 4am).
