reesey boo update

this update is more for the grandparents, but for all those who love our reesey boo too!

(playing in the closet with the sliding glass doors.)

reesey boo is doing great!! we are enjoying every minute with her! she is growing right before our eyes! it's like we can see her little mind taking things in and processing them! it's the coolest! i know i posted about this already, but really, i LOVE the kisses from her! i think she is really going to miss this hotel, with the main loss being the empty closets and cabinets! she has thoroughly enjoyed playing in the closets, opening and closing the sliding doors! usually if i can't find her she's either in the closet or the bathroom with the door shut and the light off! same goes for the cabinet under the microwave...in and out of that too. unfortunately she lost her microwave playing privilege the other day when she put a pen and piece of paper in there and turned it on!! i can't believe i let her play with that anyway, but what was the harm in opening and closing the door? you should have seen how fast i moved across the room when she turned it on that time...like lightening!

anyway...i think she understands what "szia" means. today when the language teacher, éva, left she said "szia" to reese and reese immediately waved at her! (szia means hi & bye in hungarian. pronounced "see-ya")

reese has learned to pull herself up onto the couch. boy, is she proud of herself! she has started saying "beep, beep, beep, beep" when i need her to move out of the way. it's too cute! she is barking like a dog, mooing like a cow, saying "more", "no", "bear" and responding to EVERYTHING we say! she answers by shaking her head yes or no. she LOVES the big bathtub at the hotel no matter how many times she slips and hits her head! she always asking to take a bath by trying to climb in the tub! she loves putting her socks and shoes on to go somewhere and then immediately taking them off when we get home. she has become really attached to her bear. she loves pushing the stroller down the hall and into the elevator. the slide is her favorite thing at the park, but she can't do it on her own just yet. she loves holding our hand to walk, although she'll only holds one hand at a time. no swinging for her just yet! i taught her how to do an eskimo kiss today! she practically pushed me over trying to get her nose to mine! SO cute!

that's about all i can think of now. szia!

Hilary, I love to see and hear about all of the new things that Reese is doing. I get sooo excited when I think about what I have to look forward to. Sam and I are enjoying Ella's new thing... laughing! We start in with her and can't stop. You are so brave and lucky with all of your new adventures. Being a mom is one thing but in a new country, wow!! Good luck with everything.

Lori

ps. I have some blogging questions, I'll email you later!

Babies are pretty cute...but I think toddlers are so funny and amazing. Such a neat age! Lilly LOVES eskimo kisses too...so tell Reese to save some for her.
I love that she is "learning" Hungarian too....how cool!

i am VERY thankful it was only a pen and paper for just a few seconds. she has done really well with not touching the microwave since she lost her privileges. i think she's distracted with climbing on the couch and chairs!
