croatia :: hvar

our next stop was the island of hvar. we got up EARLY to catch a taxi to the bus station for our five hour bus ride. it was a gorgeous drive along the coast and the time went by pretty fast. we arrived in split where we caught a ferry over to the island. our accommodation was a little apartment on the hillside with a great view of the sea. we didn't do as much exploring here as we did playing in the water. we spent one day at the awesome pool at the resort that was in front of our apartment and another day we took a boat ride over to st. klement island to the sandy beach. we made lots of friends at this beach. i talked for a while with two gals from england who were so sweet to share their umbrella with me. and then we met an american couple from the states who are living in georgia (the country). several different kids circled through, so reese had playmates most of the time. we ate at a great restaurant called "luna" twice because it was so good and matt got one of their t-shirts that says "for lunatics only". hvar is beautiful island where we'd love to go back to one day!
