just shy of 7 months

matson is just a couple days shy of 7 months old and i finally took him to the doctor last week for his 6 month check up. he's doing well aside from the separation anxiety. seriously, he will scream his sweet little heart out if i'm not holding him. two weeks in a row i've been paged out of church because he wouldn't calm down. poor thing, i feel so sorry for him, but goodness calm down. :)



this is a great pic of his two sharp teeth. man does he have a strong bite! don't even think about putting your finger in his mouth anymore, he'll leave teeth marks! speaking of bite...


he's learning to take bites of food now. after a couple weeks of him spitting out the icky bland rice cereal, i've stepped it up a notch to sweet potatoes and applesauce. now we don't have a problem eating. hopefully he'll keep eating and grow some more. he's only gained a half a pound in the past two plus months to a whopping 16 lbs 1 oz. my little guy is only in the 20th percentile for his weight. he did a little better in the length with 26 7/8" in the 50th percentile. the doctor isn't concerned at this point, so neither am i. just keep eating little buddy.

he's getting more and more mobile as the days go by. as the picture above shows, he's trying so hard to get somewhere.

i love this age b/c he is changing so much. i mean, a month ago he wasn't doing anything except being cute and all of a sudden he's got two teeth, eats food, rolls around, sits up, tries really hard to move forward, has arms like lightening and hands with a killer grip! he's gotten so fast at grabbing things, i can barely keep up with what he's gotten a hold of and already put in his mouth! he loves hanging upside down and being in his momma's arms. his smile makes me smile and his little laugh melts my heart.
