all sorts of stuff

i feel like we have been all over the map the last couple of weeks. i've probably started 3 or 4 different posts, but then get distracted and forget about it. and then when i want to post again it seems too late to post the one i already started and yada, yada, yada. so i've decided to post combine several into one.



first off we are supposed to be in pittsburgh right now with matt's family for the week before his cousin's wedding, but our flight was canceled on saturday b/c of a terrible storm. it was a hassle to go to the airport with everything that involves (including small children!) on saturday, but we think it turned out for the best. we are now scheduled to leave on tuesday, so with nothing planned for sunday and monday we have had this "free" feeling. it was an unexpected vacation at home. we have had such a relaxing past two days. well, we've been working a lot around the house and in the yard, cleaning, hanging curtain rods and towel rings, organizing, etc., but it's felt SO GOOD to do this to our own home. sunday during nap time i was able to celebrate the baptism of charlie priest with eric and joanne which i thought i wasn't going to be able to do, so it was a real treat. (matt worked in the yard stayed home with the kids.) and then, we did an impromptu dinner with the pisklak's at our place. they joined us for our normal sunday night pizza. great weekend.



okay, so my OCD ways are setting in and i can't combine everything into one post. i HAVE to separate them. :)
