valentine's day (in march)

still playing catch up...

i helped with reese's valentine's day party at school. we had red velvet cupcakes and juice boxes for a treat and then strung candy necklaces for a little craft. this is the only decent picture i took. i actually forgot to pull my camera out. shame on me!
matson got to enjoy a sucker since he was too little for the candy necklace.

this year i was excited about making valentine's for reese to give to her friends in her class. there were only 7 total, so i did something that was easy, cute and quick.
here's what i did. the week before v-day reese brought home a paper she painted mixing red and white paint together to get pink. i found a free pdf online of a flower that had words printed on them already. i simply sent the painted paper through the printer and cut the flowers and leaves out and put a dumb dumb in the middle. aren't they cute?

that's very creative, and very cute. maybe you two could start a business.

LOL I did the same Valentine's for Cib's class! But I cut out little hearts for the flower pedals. Doing one big flower would have been easier, next year I guess. Great minds think alike!
