escaping the heat involves a lot of creativity. we took our picnic inside this time.
it's unbelievable that we've had 100+ degree temps almost everyday this month. i've seen 111 degrees on my back patio thermometer more times than i care to. i miss being outside. i just can't take it out there. even at 8:20 last night it was still 99 degrees outside. ugh! i think all of houston is looking forward to fall and winter, but first we'll take some rain. it's been a very, very long time since we've had a good rain. since january texas has only seen six inches of rain. lord, please bring rain!
