when it's time to get reese from school it can be a bit challenging getting out the door, but usually ends up being okay once we actually get in the car and drive down the street.
first i have the alarm set on my phone b/c i'm afraid i'd sleep right through pick up or get too distracted and forget.
the hard part begins when i have to wake matson up from a deep sleep (b/c he's still a great napper like that). like anyone being woken up, he's not very happy about it.
why would he want to leave this cozy bed with his paci, blankie, golden dog, pillow pet and fun cars pillow?!
i've skipped the really hard part of getting him out of that bed, shoes on and out the door b/c 8 times out of 10 it results in little buddy crying as we go out the door. he just doesn't do what i ask him to and i can't exactly carry him with the baby growing bigger and bigger in my tummy. it's a pretty stressful time but we both usually get over it after we've turned off our street, so here's a happy boy in the carpool line.
he likes to watch for big trucks, birds, clouds, the police officer who gives out tickets, tell people to slow down,
and of course the school buses! we usually have a running count of those.
then we get to see reesey! she jumps in the car,and tries to get her seatbelt on before we pull out onto the street. it's a good challenge.
she must of won this day, or was being a normal, silly five year old.
