haircuts

These two are ready for summer with their shorter hairdos. 

I'm not too big into change, so when Reese wanted to get her hair cut short it took me a little while to get on board with the idea. A couple months went past and she didn't forget, so I took her to get it chopped. I asked her several times if she was sure she didn't want it to touch her shoulders and each time she said yes, so I let it go. I held my breath for the first cut and gasped quietly to myself as I saw how short it was! (The inside layer is just a little shorter than the outside to help it cup under.) She sat there like a big girl sure of her decision and to me she aged about 5 years as her hair got shorter!  At the end she loved it, and I loved it too!  It seems so light and bouncy - and it's much easier to comb! She couldn't wait to get home to show gram and for dad to get back in town to surprise him! Needless to say they were both surprised, but love her new look! 

Matson was also excited to show dad his new haircut. I had his cut a little shorter all around and I like it. Hopefully it will be cooler for him as he sweats like crazy!
