hey mom, do you have a gate for upstairs?
I only have one gate. the problem with putting it at the top of the stairs is that it can easily be pushed down.
uh oh.
are you wondering how you can keep reese up there?
uh huh.
may have to devise some kind of barrier. won't she stay if you tell her to???
she's 2, momma.
and so very cute, too.
still 2.
just think, you're half way through it.
true, but three is right afterward. are the door knobs up there normal door knobs or easy-to-open handles???
the knobs are easy open! this is a retirement house!
so handles?
yep.
do the doors have locks???
only the bathroom.
gee whiz! how am i supposed to trap my kid????
lock her in the bathroom.
i bet reese will appreciate this one day , but not until she has kids of her own.
mom, i bet you didn't have conversations like this about me?! i bet you wanted me around all the time, especially when i was two. :) no really, i am now at a point where i can truly appreciate all the hard work you put into

p.s. no, i won't lock her in the bathroom...at least not for too long. hehe!
I think both of our moms are getting a big kick out of watching us deal with our kids!! Maybe some of our Aunts too!!
I am confused.... why do you need to lock the kid up? Is this a "you're in time out / nap time / bedtime" and the only way to keep the kid there is to lock them in??
Hats off my friend.
lock 'em up for anything! :) hehe! just kidding. i was thinking more about nap time / bedtime / quiet time.
just get one of those child locks and put it on her side of the door. that's what we did for isa. she did figure it out eventually.
