okay, i'm back

but i don't have much to say yet. i had a great time in las vegas and will do the recap soon, but right now i'm trying to get back into the swing of things. my "re-entry", as a friend put it, back into my mom role is hard. this was the first time i've been away from either of my children for longer than 36 hours (besides when matson was born and we were away about 48 hours). it was a much needed and wanted break. now i have to get back to normal and plan meals, go to the grocery store, clean the house, give baths, wipe little tushes, chop up food, refill sippy cups, clean up toys, etc, etc.




a sample from my first day back: reese peed in her shorts (which thankfully doesn't happen often) while playing outside. i took her to the bathroom to get cleaned up and while we are back there matson ate food out of the garbage can! ah! not to worry though it was only a semi-old animal cracker that i had just thrown out. he wasn't very happy when i stuck my finger in his mouth to see what he had in there and then told hold him he couldn't dig in the trash! i ignored the fit that followed.



thank you matt and lori (aka: grandma) for everything you did this weekend! reese and matson were in wonderful hands!
