going on a nature walk is a little hard to come by in our sprawling concrete city, but it can be found. the kids and i joined some of reese's schoolmates for a nature walk at the houston arboretum a few weeks ago.
the token little brothers on the back row will probably be in the same class next year.
the texas bluebonnets have come and gone already and these are the only two pictures i have from this year.
after the nature walk the kids tried out the rope walk. they loved the great challenge!

i'm glad we got to the arboretum when we did b/c sadly the pesky mosquitoes have reared there ugly heads already. they swarm these nature trails. and, unfortunately reese and i have the blood they love. we are always the first to be bitten.
