street festival

saturday evening there was a festival on our street. it was pretty cool to walk right out of our building to such a neat scene. traffic was closed off to allow booths to be set up along the three block strip. all the art galleries, antique and furniture stores were open late and one store had a live auction in the street. a few restaurants and bars setup tables in the street too. we ran into some friends who live on our street having a beer at one of the pubs. we chatted for a while. well, i got to chat more than matt as he was chasing after reese who was running all over the place. we also saw these street performers twirling fire. the whole act was a little weird, but the fire was cool.
