öt hónap (five months)

where has the time gone?! newborn matson is already five months old! i simply can not believe it. he's growing so fast. he's found his toes, although they haven't made it into his mouth just yet. he can hold onto toys and switch them from hand to hand. he drools like no tomorrow! he loves facing out to see what's going on when he's in someone's arms. if he's on your shoulder he is constantly trying to flip around which makes you have to really hold onto him. he's also gotten to the distracted-looking-around-while-eating phase.

matson buddy is really happy most of the time (as if you can't tell from all the smiling pictures), but he gets a bit perturbed if he doesn't get to bed on time and when i have to put fifty layers of clothes on him to go outside. (so do i for that matter! :)) his cranky time of the day is in the evening when i'm trying to get dinner ready. if you hold him he's fine, but the moment you even think about putting him down he starts flipping out. he loves the ergo baby carrier. he gets so warm and cozy in there that when he's bouncing around while i walk he can't help but fall asleep. i also think he likes looking around. he still eats every three hours, give or take thirty minutes.

i'm working on getting rid of his cradle cap with a little olive oil and a good scrub during his morning bath. his hair has really lightened to more of a blond color. he sucks his thumb occasionally. he likes watching his sister and laughs at her all the time. his little giggles even made another mom want another baby and she already has three! :) he sleeps very well, especially if i have the heater on in his room. he loves to cuddle with his momma and laugh with his daddy. we can't get enough of him.
