sharing a room

reese and matson are now officially sharing a room. he's in the crib and she's in a twin bed on the floor. i've been a little scared about doing this for a while, but finally took the plunge. it's great! matson goes to bed about 7:15 and reese goes to bed about 8:30. she knows that when she goes in she has to whisper, but after we leave she starts talking out loud. he hasn't woken up yet, so that's okay with me. if she gets too loud we'll poke our heads in for a gentle reminder, but so far so good. in the morning he usually wakes up after 7:00, but sometimes earlier. the first morning he woke up at 6:30 and cried for me. reesey didn't even stir. perfect.



this sharing a room thing is really helpful for us b/c matson has been sleeping in our closet (terrible sounding i know, but it's a big closet :). now matt can get ready in our closet and bathroom instead of getting his clothes out of the closet before matson goes to bed or having to sneak in with fears of waking him up. ...this is just one example of how we are a little stressed with feelings of being unsettled.



i still put matson in the closet during the day for his haps so reese and i have access to all the toys in their room.
