Galveston

Check out this crew of 6 adults and 9 kiddos.
Do we go together or what? We didn't even plan the orange theme. (I'm the only one of the adults who didn't go to Texas. Go Coogs!) These are some of our dearest friends, the Pines and the Olivers, who we spent a weekend with in Galveston back at the beginning of May. It was our second annual trip and just as fun as the first year. This year we just added two little people - Layla and Caleb.
This group of 9 kiddos see each other pretty often so they are good friends and love playing together. They have a ball at the beach. If they aren't playing in the sand or water they are in the house playing dragons and princess or hide and seek.

After that fun time we headed to my Aunt's house on Tiki Island in Galveston for some more fun. My uncle Buddy just got a new boat so we went for a cruise to see if we could catch a glimpse of the dolphins by the ferries. My Aunt Sandy kept Layla at home for me.

This was their first boat ride.
Matson spent the whole time grasping anything he could hold onto, namely Matt's shorts. He looked scared when we were zooming through the bay but with life jacket up by his ears and his head poking out, he said, "Momma, this boat ride is awesome!" It was the cutest thing in the world! He even broke the boat in by peeing off the side! ha!

Captain Buddy!
This is my cousin, Kylie, who loves Reese and Matson. The feeling is mutual.
We got to see a cruiseliner set sail. Hardly anyone waved back at us. How lame are they?
We DID see dolphins!! And we all squeeled like little kids - including Matt and me. It was SO cool.
They gave us a great show! We called Captian Buddy the dolphin whisperer. I could only get a shot of the dolphins going back in the water after a jump b/c I never knew where they were going to come up.

What a fun weekend this was. We got home late after 9pm and put the kids through a quick bath b/c I don't think they'd had one all weekend. What can I say to that except it was a nice break from the daily routine. :)
