my boy :: 9 1/2 months

so one of the posts i started the other day was this...

i'm sitting outside on the patio (we're wireless now. it's cool.) with reese while she plays with play-doh. i hate that stuff in the house. too messy with all those little tiny pieces of dough! [oh my the ice cream truck is going by! and all the dogs are howling! ha! reese loves to watch it go by. i feel like i'm depriving her of being a kid by not buying her an ice cream.]



and then matson woke so i never got back to that post. speaking of matson...he is already 9 1/2 months old. he is still precious as ever and totally has my heart! if i had to use two words to describe him i'd say happy and wiggly. he's into everything, crawls everywhere FAST, pulls up on everything, cruises SLOWLY, falls down a lot, opens cabinet doors, jumps out of your arms, claps all the time, bangs on everything, etc.

it's so neat watching his coordination come together. he's still drooling all the time. one big top tooth came down last week and i think another one is on it's way down. i don't think he's even near saying any words yet. too many motor skills developing for that. it'll come. he's eating lots of table food and feeding himself. i love that step of independence.




i LOVE it when he falls asleep in my arms. he's so good at falling asleep on his own in his bed for which i am very thankful, but i don't want to forget this...



i love his blonde hair! i had blonde hair as a kid, so i guess that's where he got it.


9 month stats: 19 lbs 6 oz (30th percentile), 28 5/8" long (55th percentile).
